Things in the news are a great way to see how Healthy Living applies to real life. Some recent things to consider are the ways in which cyberbullying is still a problem for students. There is also the unfortunate circumstances of the effects of binge drinking at University (and other parts of rural and urban Nova Scotia).

Don't forget there is also the sensitive subject of depression. After the death of NHLer Wade Belak this is a subject that must be addressed by all. Not to mention prescription medication being abused as was the case in the death of another NHL enforcer Derek Boogaard along with the situations that are occuring in Wolfville with abuse of the prescription drug, dilaudid.
