The 1,3,5 classes are reading Animal Farm.

Assignment: 1. Write the definitions for the voc. words copied from the board.  2. Begin making a list of characters, names and descriptions.  3. Write a 5-sentence summary for each chapter.

Voc. chap. 1-3

laborious, tyranny, enmity, vivacious, apathy, gambol, implement, acute, parasitical, cryptic, indefatigable, literate

Voc. chap. 4-7

tractable, vengeance, ignominious, impromptu, unanimous, mechanical, eloquence, articulate, extravagant, malignity, categorical, treachery

Voc. chap. 8-10

retinue, ecstasy, conciliatory, contemptible, lamentation, decree, pensiion, superannuated, demeanor, morose, taciturn, eminent

All work on Animal Farm (periods 1,3,5) should be complete by Tuesday, Oct. 18.
