Welcome to Basic Computer Apps!

I want to welcome all of my students back to school, and I hope you will enjoy our class together. You will learn how to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint -- all parts of Microsoft Office 2007. You will create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. We will also spend some time on website evaluation, research, and Internet safety. Periodically, you will use Web 2.0 apps, such as Edmodo, Wordle, and more.

Our class will be a very hands-on experience, in which students will use the computer daily.  Grades will mostly involve our classwork and projects.  I have no plans to assign any homework, except for occasional review of study sheets.  Although I will not give any tests, I will give infrequent quizzes.
