We are studying honesty and doing the right thing in class for the past few days.  It is important to key in on such opportunities for children.  There used to be a book called The Book of Virtues.  In it, children learned to speak honestly, be kind to others, and work toward goodness.  It is hard work for some of my students to deny themselves and to think about others.  I urge parents to be the moral compass for your son or daughter by living a good example for them.  They look to you much more than they hear the platitudes from a text book.
