Quarter 3 ended on Wed, March 15th & final grades will be posted on Mon, March 20th for parents to view. No printed report card will be provided this quarter, but parents may access grades through the Infinite Campus Portal. if you have questions about this process you may contact the front desk and a secretary will be happy to assist you. Remember as we enter the last quarter of the school year; the last day of school is Wed, May 24th as a half day. The last day of school is Thurs, March 23 (Full Day) and Spring Break begins on Fri, March 24. School will resume again on Mon, April 3rd.
Friday, March the 3rd is the annual AR ReadQuest Day at the school. Partially in observance of Dr. Seuss day & also a way to encourage students to read more; we are asking every student at Belle Creek to take an AR test this Friday. Please encourage your student to participate in this school-wide endeavor!
I am pleased to announce that we will be offering a special Parent University on Thursday, March 2nd from 4:30 - 6:00 PM.
The PTO will be offering food for sale to families for dinner & the school will be offering free babysitting so parents can engage in a myriad of classes to gain a better understanding about what your children are learning & what the school has to offer. The community is invited to this public event. Classes will last up to 30 minutes & parents will have the opportunity to attend up to three (3) different classes of those offered. Attached to the bottom of the Files tab on the webpage are the PU Flyer & Course Offerings pages. This is a free event and we want everyone to attend.
Parent / Teacher Conferences will take place on Wed, Feb. 15th from 4-6 PM and Thurs, Feb. 16th from 12:30 - 6 PM.
6th grade parents should make appointments directly with your homeroom teacher while 7 / 8th grade parents should download the attached letter in the files section of this website for detailed instructions.
MS conferences do not require an appointment, but parents should print off any grade reports from Inifinite Campus prior to attending your conference.
Friday, Nov 18th is the cut-off for 2nd quarter mid-quarter reports. These reports will be e-mailed home the week we come back from Fall Break beginning the 29th of November. Students with D's or F's in Core Academic classes will receive an e-mail message reminding you to check Infinite Campus weekly for missing assignments & low grades. If you have a Smart phone, you can download the free app & stay on top of all your student's grades no matter which district school they attend all in one place. Students who had failing grades on their 1st quarter report card in two or more classes had a meeting this week with the counselor & vice principal offering advice and counsel on how to improve their grades. Special reports will be mailed home the week of Fall Break for those students.
We do have a long-term sub filling the vacated band music position. her name is Ms. Wollard. She will be joining Mr. Tekverk in putting on a winter concert for 7 & 8th grade students in band & choir on Thursday , Dec 15th at 6 PM in the school gymnasium. All are welcome to attend.
