It is a new year & there are a lot of changes happening in sixth grade.  Mr. Williams will be joining our team as my teaching intern from CSU.  He will be with us until almost the end of the year & we are lucky to have him.  We have already planned & are looking forward to doing some AMAzing labs, lessons & STEM activities in the future.

Students are reminded to follow all PBIS rules for the school & classrooms.  Remember “It is ok not to know, but it is not ok to not try.”

Mr. Williams & I will be adding upcoming assignments to Infinite Campus & the calendar so everyone knows what is coming up.  Each chapter will have homework from the textbook (section & chapter reviews, at least one vocab. quiz, a study guide & at chapter test.)  If students earn an “A” on the chapter/unit pre-test they will be exempt from doing the section & chapter reviews for that chapter/unit.

If a student has late work (for ANY reason), they must attach a “late work” slip to it prior to turning it in.  Points will be taken off in accordance with the MCSD attendance policy & the parent letter (syllabus).

Parents are reminded that students are able to retake chapter tests if they earn below a 100%.  The test grades will be averaged.  Students will receive a slip for the parents to sign to schedule the test retake.  STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RETAKE A TEST UNTIL AFTER THEY HAVE COMPLETED THE STUDY GUIDE!
