I had a wonderful opportunity to see how it is possible to integrate Arts into the curriculum. Looking forward to more opportunities.
Reading comprehension is still the main focus in November.
There are comprehension strategies mentioned in the reading classes that are also in student's reading books.
Some examples that students should be using while reading are as follows:
Using context clues for meaning of unknown words in the passage
Rereading a passage twice to help with summarizing ( retell the passage in their own words)what they have read
Begin practicing these strategies while reading at home.

Readers make great writers!
Encourage your child to read each day.
Find a good book, magazine, fun skit, or something that inspires them to read.
Have your child/student to write a short blurb about what they have read. They can even write a few sentences to tell you why this book or magazine article was great to read.
