This week we will complete our study of Collisions, Newtons Laws and Energy. Our Energy of a Rolling Ball lab is due on Monday. We will have a quiz on KE, PE, Work and Power on Tuesday, and design a clay crash dummy to simulate what happens to a body during a collision. We will finish the week by designing a protective cage for an uncooked egg, which we will drop from a 10 meter height, to test our knowledge of Energy and forces and how they follow Newton's Laws of Motion and the Law of Conservation of Energy.
This week we will study forensic hair analysis. A project (summative) on Forensic careers will be assigned. We will conduct in class research for this project on Thursday. The quiz for hair analysis will be Monday, October 7.
To start the week, we will have an in class day to research alternate energy for our summative project that is due on Thursday. We will continue our study of Newton's laws by learning about safe trailing distance (transfer of energy), collisons, and the conservation of energy.
