September 11-18, 2013
Reading: Read every night for 20 mins. Do two reading journal entries per week. Practice reading memory, pattern words and Dolch words. Pattern words and memory words will be given in a unit basis according to the Super kids Reading Program.
Pattern Words:
1st grade: dish fish wish dash crash trash lunch punch crunch catch match patch
2nd grade:shop shut ship rash dish wish rush chat chill chop lunch bunch pinch inch
Memory Words:
1st grade: I my she her he his
2nd grade: me my she her he his we our they their you your
Dolch Words for 1st and 2nd grade: as my play jump walk at an ran him be had to put
Math: Do math assignments on addition and subtraction.
Writing: Write a sentence for each pattern word and memory word. Circle the nouns, put a box around the Proper Nouns and underline the pattern word and memory word.
