Reading: Read every night for 20 mins. Do two reading journal entries per week. Practice reading memory pattern words and Dolch words. Read books and fluency passage.

Writing
1st grade: Write a sentence for each pattern word. Underline the pattern word used. Circle the Proper Noun and put a box around the common noun.
2nd grade: Do writing assignments. Then write a sentence for each pattern word. Underline the pattern word used. Circle the Proper Noun and put a box around the common noun.

Remember:
Proper Noun: is a special name for a person, place, or thing. For example: Isabella, Cielo- names of person
Wildlife Zoo, Peter Piper Pizza- names of a place
Fluffy, Spot-names of things (dogs)

Common Noun: is a person, place or thing.
For example: boy, girl, mom, dad-person
zoo, store, museum-places
chair, flag, table-things

P.S. We will be having our 1st cooking and science experiment next week. Please make sure your child has paid the fee of $2.00 by the end of the week or else he/she will not participate.
