8th Grade
This week we will be talking about Georgia's growth from 1945-1970. We will focus on Georgia's entrepreneurs and the Civil Rights Era. I am planning to so a Civil Rights Simulation with every class on Thursday and Friday. This will give the students an idea about segregation and how things would be if segregation was still legal today.I will send out a letter that will give out more details.

This week we will discuss issues that arise in Georgia shortly after WWI. Some of these things include the effect of the boil weevil on Georgia’s agricultural economy, the Great Depression, and FDR’s New Deal.
