Wednesday: Warm-up -Reading Time/ Lexia: Reading Comprehension, Activity- Writing Wednesday: Write a summary of what has happened in the story focusing on theme and the connection to conflict using academic terminology. Media Center Closing- Read Silently

Thursday: Warm-up-Lexia: Grammar, Activity-Kahoot: Theme/Conflict(15 minutes), Achieve 3000 Closing: Complete Thought Question

Friday: Warm up- Review Vocabulary and Comprehension Chart, Activity- Assessment, Completion of Achieve article for the week, Lexia: Personalized Category

Reflective Writing Warm ups for the week

MondayI do:

  • Teacher will review story Elements Focus Overview: Setting/Character

We do:

  • Class will listen to Prologue. Students will take turns reading Chapters 1 and 2

Students will complete Guided Reading Notes in ISN only focusing character and Setting

Wednesday: Reflective Writing Warm-up, Students reviewed Rules and Procedures

Thursday: Reflective Writing Warm-up, Students completed Anticipation game and worksheet for the novel Island Book One: Shipwreck by Gordon Korman.

Friday: Reflective Writing Warm-up, Students learned about Military time and how time affects the setting of a novel, Students were given time in class to work on Vocabulary Quiz homework.
