Sixth Grade Standards

The students will explain conflict and change in Europe to the 21st century.  Students will anlyze the impact to European exploration and colonization on various world regions.  Explain the impact of European empire building in Africa and Asia on the outbreak of WWI.

Learning Targets:  I can explain the major developments following WWI.  I can explain the impact of EU empire building in Africa and Asia on the outbreak of WWI.

Eighth Grade Standards

The students will analyze the role of Georgia in the American Revolution.  Describe Georgia with regards to physical features and location.  Evalute the development of Native American cultures and impact of European exploration and settlement.  Students will describe the impact of events that ked to the ratification of the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Learning Targets: I can discuss Georgia's role in the American Revolution.  I can discuss the contribution of Colonel Elijah Clarke, Nancy Hart, and Austin Dabney.
