Sixth Grade Standards:  

Students will describe the cultural characteristics of Europe.  Students will explain conflict and change in Europe to the 21st century.  Students will analyze the impact of European exploration and colonization on various world regions.

Learning Targets: I can explain the major developments following WWI.  I can explain the impact of WWI in terms of the Holocaust, Cold War and rise of the Super Powers.  I can explain the Eu empire building in Africa and Asia on the outbreak of WWI.

Eighth Grade

Standards:  Students will analyze the role of Georgia in the American Revolution.

Learning Targets:  I can name and explain the Intolerable Acts and the reasons for their enactment.  I can explain how the Townshend and Intolerable acts helped spark the Revolutionary War.  I can discuss Georgia's role in the Second Continental Congress.
