Good Evening Parents,

Sixth Grade Standards:

Students will describe the cultural characteristics of Europe.  Describe the major religions in Europe; include Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.  The students will analyze the impact of European exploration and colonization on various world regions.

Learning Targets:

I can explain the differences between an ethnic group and a religious group.  I can compare and contrast the major religions in Europe.

Eighth Grade

Standards:The student will analyze the colonial period of Georgia's history.

Learning Targets:

I can explain how the first British colony in Georgia was created.  I can describe what life was like for the colonists during the Colonial Period in Georgia.  I can explain religious tolerance.  I can explain how Georgia reacted to the rule of British government.
