Happy Monday and welcome to Georgia Studies!!! I'm so excited to be your Georgia Studies teacher this year! We will be opening our minds, investigating, and analyzing our beautiful history for the state of Georgia!
Here are a few announcements:
-We are having our first assessment on Wednesday. Make sure that your child is studying the 5 geographic regions, Georgia's location in relation to hemispheres, contintents, nation, and region. Students must also study the physical features of Georgia.
-You can utilize my study sets on Quizlet to help your child study. There are flashcards and interactive games. My profile is Ms_Myers33.
This week we will:
Monday: Students began working on their Georgia Regions Brochure project. This will be due on Wednesday, August 28th. Rubrics and instructions were passed out in class today.
Tuesday: We will be finishing the brochures in class and reviewing for the assessment! Students should be studying to master the standard.
Wednesday: Students will be taking the Geography Assessment, in which will be a major grade. Students are welcomed to take their ISNs home to study.
Thursday: We will be starting a new standard! We are going to be learning about the Mississippians!
Friday: We will continue to be learning about the Mississippians and European contact.
Physical Science:
We will be working on our Adopt-an-Element project along with learning about the Periodic Table.
