There is plenty to see online.   Within the syllabus schedule are several interactive extensions, videos, and readings that are helpful to understanding genetics.  It is the toughest subject you'll face this year but that doesn't mean you should just accept defeat!  Check out some of the links.  At the very least, try some of the videos like Punnett Squares for Beginners and similar.     Need another look at a dihybrid cross?  Check here!

Totally lost?  Make it short!  The concise version: Everything you need to know in 3 minutes

If you still cannot access stuff online, you really need to see me!

from Monday in class:

Cells & Heredity text books
1. Read sections 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 (pages 80-85, 88-93, 96-100) in class
2. Answer questions: all checkpoints and review for each section (3.1=6 Qs, 3.2= 7Qs, 3.3=7Qs). PASS THESE IN at end of class today. Include NAME, DATE, LABEL SECTIONS, TITLES.
3. Page 109 in notebook: draw the following vocab, fully colored: trait, purebred, hybrid, dominant, recessive, allele, phenotype, genotype, homozygous, heterozygous, gene, probability. A, B,C,D of science drawing... don't forget title and date.

If all of this is done, complete the work form Thursday and Friday: Dragon Feathers Sim, Purple People Eater Sim and Practice, Mendel Experiments (p. 108), Give Peas a Chance due by Wednesday.

Work in class: students borrow books in class. They have text books assigned to them that they are supposed to leave at home. If they carry their own texts with them they shouldn't be leaving them behind in class. Likewise, they shouldn't be leaving the room with an extra book- we will run out of books!

See you soon!
