You need to have your child do 2 reading journal entries. Remember it is important to read with your child every night. While reading with your child, remember to ask comprehension questions along the way.

Math:

The math homework for this week will be working with addition and subtraction, and we will begin our venture into patterns.

Language:

 Also, please have your child practice reading the first 50 sight words, which are half are listed below, and you can look on my school notes page for the other half.  It is important that your child can read and spell these words. This will help make reading easier.

The math homework for this week will be working more so with addition and subtraction. They will also be practicing days of the week. On the page that has the days of the week, have your child describe what happened in each picture. Then turn it over and answer the question on the back.  

Language:

 Your child will need to create 10 sentences using the first 50 sight words and the words they should be practicing reading from Superkids (the words are on the back of this paper). All of the Superkids words contain letters and sounds that we have practiced in class. Please encourage your student to make the sentences with their own ideas.

Reading: Please remember to do 2 reading journal entries for the week. Please continue practicing letter sounds and sight words with your child.

Math: The math homework deals with comparing numbers, placement terms, and measuring objects with blocks. Please continue to practice number recognition with your child.

Language: Your child will be writing their sight words. Please have your child write their sight words 10’s each. Next week we will start writing snetences.

Language:

 Your child will be practicing writing their second 25 sight words as part of their homework. Connected to the homework packet is 2 pieces of lined paper. Your child will have 4 days of sight word writing practice. Your student will use the front and back of the papers. They will need to write their sight words 10 times each.
