Weekly Updates-

Thank you to all the parents who came to back to school night. It was great meeting you all.

This week we have been working on Slant Asymptotes. There is a quiz on SLANT Asymptotes on Wednesday (9/20). We will review on Tuesday (9/19) with a fun game- taping graphs to our backs and trying to figure out what they are!

The rest of the week we will continue working on polynomials- adding/subtracting and multiplying. Looking ahead, there will be a test next week after we fit in review time. That will mean we have had two quizzes before the test.

Reminder to keep up with the homework!

Weekly updates-

Thank you to the parents who came to back to school night. It was great meeting you all.

This week is the conclusion to Chapter 1. There is a test on Thursday (9/21) on sections 1.1-1.7. The chapter 1 review questions will be posted under the links tab as well as the review flashcards in Quizlet under the links tab.

For the rest of the week, we will be starting a new unit on the coordinate graph and transformations. We will review previously learned algebra skills such as graphing and slope.

REMINDER- keep up with the homework! We had an extra credit opportunity that only 5 students completed. This would have raised scores by 8 points overall. I saw a significant improvement in the cadet's quiz scores who tackled the homework last week. Hard work pays off!!!!

Updates for the week--

It is IMPERATIVE that cadets are doing their homework. Although it does not go into their overall grade, cadets WILL not do well in this class if they do not do the homework. As Juniors and Seniors, it is now expected. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to be doing problems on your own- seeing what you know and then asking questions in class.

As announced last week in class, there will be a quiz on Thursday on Vertical and Horizontal Asymptotes as well as graphing them. We will then be moving on. Tentatively there will be a quiz Wednesday (9/20) on Slant Asymptotes.

If you have not watched the videos that were assigned last Friday, I suggest doing that to start studying as well as looking over all of the worksheets and notes.

Finally, back to school night is this Thursday! Looking forward to meeting you all.

-Ms. Limmina
