We had a great first week, kicking off the 2017 semester. We had an introduction to Chapter 1 and focused on sections 1.1-1.4. There will be a quiz on Wednesday (9/13) on sections 1.1-1.4. We will review in class but it is important for cadets to be taking the time to study at home.
This week we will be focusing on 1.5-1.7. There will be another quiz tentatively scheduled on Friday (9/15) on sections 1.5-1.7. This will conclude Chapter 1. Looking ahead, there will also be tentatively Chapter 1 test on Tuesday (9/19). As this is a semester course and there is a lot to cover, we will be moving quickly. It is important for cadets to be looking at the sections before class time and doing all homework.

Cadets were told in advance on Thursday and the homework this weekend was to study for the quiz. We will review tomorrow in class, however the classes are shortened for 9/11 so cadets should be studying at home.

Welcome back to school!
We had a great first two days. The first day was an introduction to pre-calculus, myself as well as the expectations for the course. Today we started 2.6 Rational functions and did an investigation on vertical asymptotes found within rational functions. The worksheet of the investigation should be brought back to class tomorrow as well as the "CLOCK BUDDIES" handout. I will collect the CLOCK BUDDIES handout tomorrow so DO NOT lose them.
We will have a very quick 'bell ringer' on vertical asymptotes tomorrow at the start of class.
I am looking forward to the following year and getting to know each and every cadet!
