This week students will take the QBA on Tuesday and Wednesday to give teachers an idea of how well they are progressing in mastering the Georgia Studies standards. On Thursday, we will begin our study of the New South period of Georgia's history. For the next week, we will discuss the social, political and economic changes that took place in Georgia during this period. Update 12-19

This week we are finishing our last two days before Christmas break. We will take a test today over Unit 4: The Civil War and Reconstruction and will finish our performance tasks over the Reconstruction Period.

Grades are due tomorrow by 4:00pm

We will no longer be using Class Messenger to communicate with parents after this week. Unfortunately, the website is closing down. Please look for an invitation to join our class on Remind.com in January.

Students will have a QBA for Social Studies when we return to school in January. Please encourage your student to complete the study packet that we will be sending home with them tomorrow. It will be their first grade for the new nine weeks.

As always, please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year!
