PARENTS AND STUDENTS-

STUDENTS WILL HEAD TO THE COMPUTER LAB ON MARCH 31 TO TAKE BOTH AN OAS TEST AND - MOST IMPORTANTLY - AN AR TEST.

STUDENTS WILL HAVE HAD OVER 5 WEEKS TO READ AN AR BOOK OF THEIR CHOOSING. IF STUDENTS WERE NOT ABLE TO CHECK-OUT A BOOK FROM THE LIBRARY, THEY WERE INFORMED (SEVERAL TIMES) THAT THEY MAY CHOOSE A BOOK FROM MY PERSONAL LIBRARY, LOCATED IN THE BACK OF THE CLASSROOM. STUDENTS WILL BE GRADED ON THIS TEST, SO IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THEY CONTINUE READING THEIR BOOK!!!

Parents,

If your student DID NOT turn-in a book report to me last week, then they have a 0 out of 200 points. I will be sending letters home with those students who did not turn-in a report.  If I do not receive a book report this week from these students, I will be assigning students to Friday evening school with an alternative assignment. It is IMPERATIVE that students are reading in their AR novels. If your student has lost their ID, than they need to buy another one from the library so that they may check out books. I also have books in my room for students to check out.

Parents and students,

Book reports are due Monday! Students have had three weeks to read one book, complete an AR test on the book, and create a book report. I gave out a handout with the information regarding the book reports, in class, several weeks ago; however, I have made extra copies for students who have lost their sheet, and I have attached the book report assignment to School Notes. You can find it under the "Files" tab.  The book report will be worth 200 points, so it is imperative that it be turned-in on Monday!

Parents and students,

This week, students will be learning new vocabulary, direct and indirect objects, and adjectives.

We will have a test Thursday over this new material as well as some old material that we have learned.

Please keep in mind that our first book report is due on Monday, January 31. I will give students time in class ON FRIDAY to work on these reports. This assignment will be worth 200 points!

Parents and students,

I apologize that my School Notes page has not been updated in several weeks. I had techinical difficulties and the only way, it seems, to address these with the creators of School Notes is to message them (i.e. there are no phone numbers to call); Therefore, I had to wait for a reply from a School Notes employee. The site should be up and running again.
