Dear Kindergarten Parents,

We had a lot of fun last week celebrating Dr. Seuss Day. We did really well reading our books to Pre-K. We enjoyed other activities with them such as making and eating blue jello with Swedish fish swimming in the cup. We also ate multi-colored goldfish crackers.

This week we will continue in ELA with Domain 4: Plants. Our phonics books are concentrating on short /o/ words.

In Math, we are in Module 4, Topic A and B. This is composition and decomposition of numbers to 8. We will continue with number bonds and drawing stories.

Our Religion chapter is called “Jesus Wants Us to Love”.

In Science we will be concentrating on life cycles. This goes along with the ELA domain.

Please remember that boys need to wear navy over the ankle socks with the uniform. White socks with the gym uniform for both girls and boys. School uniform headbands only are allowed.

Thank you.

Mrs. Callahan

Dear Kindergarten Parents,

This week we will finish the ELA Domain 10: Colonial Towns and Townspeople.

We will continue in Math with Module 3, Topic F, comparisons of sets within 10.

We will be reading about Groundhog Day.

This week we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week with a lot of activities. On Thursday, if you want to take your child home before 2:40, you will need to sign out in the office first but we will have our coats and backpacks with us. We will be having our snack at 9 AM and our lunch at 11AM as usual. Please bring both in Thursday. There is no hot lunch in the cafeteria but I know that if we wait until International Day to eat, the children will be starving and they might not like a lot of the different foods.

I hope you can join us,

Mrs. Callahan
