All grades have been updated in eSchool including all tests, quizes, and performances (for choir). Cadets will receive one more major grade for the marking period on their in-class presentation. Other than that, the only grades left will be their 10 point class participation grades and their final! Their final and their midterm average into their class grade overall.
If a cadet received an A in MP1 and MP2 and on the midterm, they do not need to take the final. My final (for History of Pop, not choir) will be another project.

My schoolnotes page has been down for the past week and a half, not sure why, but it's up and running again! Last week in History of Popular Music, we learned about Elton John, Billy Joel, Joni, Mitchell... other artist's of the 70s. On Friday, we played review bingo in class, and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners received extra credit! All the grades have been updated as of this weekend.
This week, we are studying the Eagles, and have been watching a documentary on their career as a band! We will continue to work through chapter 14 this week. There will be a test next week on Thursday 12/18 before winter break!
I am in the process of making a new website for my music page, so keep your eyes out for that! Schoolnotes and I are not getting along very well this year!
Good morning all, a NEW choir date has been added to the calendar. June 6, we will be singing the national anthem at the Blue Rocks Game at 7:05pm. Call time will be @ 6pm. I know this is the weekend before graduation, but it is a night game, so that should cut back on a lot of conflicts. It will be a fireworks night too, so we should have a big audience!!!!
The tickets for our group rate will be $9 a piece. I need to know by December 1 how many tickets you will need for your party!!! The cadets need to purchase a ticket too, so please keep that in mind in your ticket count! We need to send a deposit to the Blue Rocks for this awesome rate! So please let me know by December 1!
You will be able to purchase tickets on your own if more people want to attend, however, you may not be sitting with our DMA section. Please e-mail me at [email protected] and let me know :)
ALSO PLEASE PUT ON YOUR CALENDARS - GRADUATION ON JUNE 12- The choir will be singing at graduation!!
I will be announcing this in all of my classes this morning, but if you are absent any day this week, it is YOUR responsibility to get the 6 scenes you need from the movie we are watching that day. Each movie will take 2 days of class to complete watching, so if you are out one of those two, you can get your 6 scenes the following day, however if you are out both days of a film, it is your responsibility to ask to borrow the movie so you can complete your notes in order to complete your paper.
Also, I will re-iterate the new class participation system. Everyone starts out each week with a 100% (10/10), however, if I see you talking, or being disrespectful to me or your classmates, I will just hold up 2 fingers and dock 2 points every time I see you acting out. Please be the mature young adults I know you are! Let's have a great rest of the marking period!
