Hello Parents and students,
We are completing Unit 2 Common Unit Assessment post test and pre test in 8th grade this week. Please ensure that your child is making the effort to study their Cornell notes for the post test.
In 6th grade, we are reviewing Unit 2 (Ratios, Rates, and Proportional Reasoning) for post test on Tuesday October 28th. Pre test will be given on Oct 29th. Students were given a study guide to complete and review this week to prepare for the assessment. The study guide is due on Thursday, October 30th.
We will review Unit 2 study guide in whole group on Thursday.

Parents and Students,
6th grade is still studying Unit 2 (Ratios, Rates, and Proportional Reasoning). This week we are solve word problems and converting customary units using proportional reasoning. Unit 2 Common Unit assessment will be taken the week of Oct. 28th
8th grade begin this week solving linear equations with variables on both sides. We are wrapping up Unit 3 this week. We will complete Unit 2 Common Unit Assessment on Monday, October 21th.

Week of Oct. 6 - Oct 10
Hello Parents and Students,
6th grade is still studying Unit 2 (Rates, Ratios, and proportional Reasoning. This week students will read tables and graphs to solve real-world problems and answer questions from them. We will also use proportional reasoning to solve word problems.
In 8th grade , we are studying Unit 2 (Exponents and Equations). This week we are wrapping up solving integer exponents. We will begin studying scientific notation on Tuesday.
*Students should have their textbook at home as a resource for grade 6th and 8th. They were told them to leave them there until further notice.*

Week of Sept. 29-Oct.3
This week 6th grade is continuing t study Unit 2 (Rates, Ratios, and Proportional Reasoning). We are learning how to write and identify equivalent ratios, calculate unit rates using grocery ads, and solving problems through proportions.
8th grade is wrapping up the performance task (Coordinating Reflections) from Unit 1. Tuesday, we will begin Unit 2 (Exponents and Equations).
Academic detention/Tutorial has been moved to Thursday, due to a conflict in my schedule.
