We will, we will jingle. We will, we will jingle.

What you're hearin' are the jingles J-j-j-j-jingles, jingle bells.

What you're hearin' are the jingles,

J-j-j-j-j-jingles, jingle bells.

The sound of the season is the sound of bells. Listen carefully, you can tell, Ev'ryone knows when they ehar that sound, time for the holidays to come 'round.

We will, we will jingle.

We will, we will jingle.

Late dawn. An early sunset. And it's pretty cold outside. It's called the winter solstice. And the sun hangs low in the sky.

Its the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. On December twenty-first, or thereabouts!

'Cause it's the first day! It's the first day, the very first day! It's the first day! The first day of winter! The first day of winter!

Snowfall. the Changing seasons. Wind is whistling through the trees. Earth tilts on its axis at twenty-three point five degrees.

There's someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney. Someone in the chimney, Listen quick! (Spoken solo: Ouch!)

Someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney. Tell me, do you think it's ol' St. Nick? (Spoken solo: Ooooh...my elbow....)

Well, first I heard it on the house, tap tap tapping like a mouse. Then I heard it in the wall, thump, thump, thumping, so I called:

"Hey you!" (Spoken solo: Uh-oh!)

"Hey you!" (Spoken solo, clears throat: Squeak, squeak.)

"Hey you!" (Spoken solo: Just us mice in here.)

"Is that you, St. Nick?" (Spoken solo: Mice!)

There's someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.

Someone in the chimney, listen quick! (Spoken solo: Achoo!)

Someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney. Tell me, do you think it's ol' St. Nick? (Spoken solo: I'm getting too old for this.)

Well first I heard it on the house, tap tap tapping like a mouse. Then I heard it in the wall, thump, thump, thumping, so I called:

"Hey you!" (Spoken solo: Raccoons in here.)

"Hey you!" (Armadillos?)

"Hey you! (Land shark!)

"Is that you St. Nick?" (Spoken solo: No!)

There's someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney. Someone in the chimney, listen quick! (Spoken solo: Shhhh!)

Someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney. Tell me, do think it's ol' St. Nick? (Spoken solo: Wrong!)

"Tell me, do you think it's ol' St. Nick?" (Spoken solo: Whatever!)

Tell me, do you think it's old

(Spoken solo: Oh, come on!)

Saint

(Spoken solo: Gimme a break.)

Nick?

(Spoken solo: I'm trying to work in here!)

Is it ol' St. Nick?

(Spoken solo, after thud: Owwww!)

"Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, you bring us joy and cheer.

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, what will you be this year? Will you be a big tree, a small tree, a wide tree, a skinny tree, or maybe eight feet tall or more?

Will you be a real tree, a fake tree, a green or white or purple tree? I hope that you will fit through our door. It doesn't have to look like Rockefeller Center, if it comes from your heart then it couldn't look better. Oh Christmas tree, what will you be this year?

Will you be a blue spruce, a white pine, a fraser or balsam, the kind where all the needles fall off? Will you be a bright tree with tinsel, a star or an angel, with lights that can blink on and off?

It doesn't have to look like Rockefeller Center, if it comes from your heart then it couldn't look better. Oh Christmas tree, what will you be this year?

It doesn't matter if it's artificial or grown. It's the best because it's in your home. Oh Christmas tree, what will you be....

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, you bring us joy and cheer. Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, what will you be this year?

Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go.

The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh through white and drifted snow.

Over the river and through the woods, oh, how the wind does blow. It stings the toes and bites the nose as over the ground we go.

Over the river. Over, over!

Over the river and through the woods and straight through the barnyard gate. It seems that we go so dreadfully slow; it is so hard to wait.

Over the river and through the woods, now Grandma's cap I spy. Hurrah for fun, the pudding's done; hurrah for the pumpkin pie!

Over the river. Over, over!

Over the river and through the woods, oh, how the wind does blow. It stings the toes and bites the nose as over the ground we go. Over the river, over, over! Oh!
