Quiz tomorrow August 21, 2013

Students will need to identify the four Geographic regions: The Ohio Valley (along the Ohio River) The Allegheny Plateau The Allegheny Highlands (the mountainous region) and the Potomac Section which takes up most of the Eastern panhandle
Students will also need to name the border states and put them on the map.

Chapter 23 Vocabulary

1. concurrent powers- Powers that both state and federal government have at the same time.
2. preamble- Introduction to the Constitution.
3. approtionment- Divided for the purposes of representation.
4. bill- proposed law
5. committee- smaller group of larger body
6. Board of Public Works- Governor, Secretary of State, Auditor, Treasurer, Commissioner of Agriculture, Superintendent of Schools.
