Please sign up for a parent conference if you have not done so. Thank you to those of you who have already met with me. Please check your child's folder every day for updates and study guides. If you have not done so, please go to the Reese Road website and complete the parent survey at the bottom of the homepage. Because we eat a late lunch, if you would like to send in a small snack for us to pass out to the class in the mornings, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for all you do!
Welcome to third grade! Please be sure to check your child's folder each day for any information. Newsletters and study guides will be sent home on Monday. Please read every night with your child and record it on their reading log. I will take up reading logs each Friday. Children should read 20 minutes every night. There will be study guides sent home reading, science, and social studies. Be sure to study these every night. Children will be assessed each week on vocabulary, grammar, and the weekly Reading Wonders tests. There will be quizzes and tests throughout science and social studies units, so the times will vary. Please check out the newsletter for those dates. I will not send home nightly homework, but expect students to study each night so they will be prepared for their assessments. I will send home unfinished work, or extra practice if I feel it is needed. Don't forget to check out Ms. Herring's website for math information.
