We have completed GMAS testing for third grade. Thank you for all of your support! We will begin our unit on Because of Winn-Dixie on Thursday, which will take the place of Reading Wonders for the rest of the year. Our students will also begin learning how to write in cursive. We are finishing our unit on pollution in science, the test will be this Friday. The project is due next Friday, 4/26.
GMAS this week and next week! Please make sure your child goes to bed early each night and eats breakfast each morning. Continue to work on IXL, Achieve 3000, and Reflex for extra practice each night. I am giving extra credit to the students who complete Achieve activities at home this week.
Review week for GMAS this week! There will be no reading, grammar, or vocabulary tests this week. We will begin testing next week. Please make sure your child is going to bed on time, eating breakfast in the morning, and arrives at school on time each day.
We are reviewing for GMAS over the next few weeks. Students will not have a reading test, but they will have a vocab and grammar test this week. We will be sending home a study packet for GMAS for students to complete over spring break. They will receive extra credit for completed packets which are returned. There are a lot of events this week.

Regular tests this week in reading/ELA. Please study vocab every night and fill out the reading logs which are due on Friday. Practice Achieve 3000 and Lexia at home. We are taking donations to help Smiths Station West Elementary School rebuild their playground. Your child may pay $2 per Friday for the next two weeks to dress down in support of Relay for Life. Don't forget the Mother-Son Dance is this Friday from 6:30-8:30. GMAS Testing Night will be on March 20th at 6 pm.
