“Shooting Star”
Close your tired eyes, relax, and then count from one to ten and open them.
All these heavy thoughts
Will try to weigh you down,
but not this time.
Way up in the air, you’re finally free; and you can stay up there right
next to me.
All this gravity will try to pull you down,
but not this time.
When the sun goes down and the lights burn out,
Then it’s time for you to shine
Brighter than a shooting star.
So shine, no matter where you are.
Fill the darkest night with a brilliant light, ‘cause it’s time for you to shine
Brighter than a shooting star.
So shine, no matter where you are
Tonight…
Whoa, whoa, whoa..
Brighter than a shooting star
Shine, no matter
where you are
Tonight….
Gaze into my eyes
When the fire starts
And fan the flame so hot,
It melts our hearts.
Oh, the pouring rain will try to put it out,
But not this time.
Let your colors burn and brightly burst into a million sparks that all disperse, illuminate a world that’ll try to bring you down,
But not this time…
When the sun goes down and the lights burn out,
Then it’s time for you to shine
Brighter than a shooting star.
So shine, no matter where you are.
Fill the darkest night with a brilliant light, ‘cause it’s time for you to shine
Brighter than a shooting star.
So shine, no matter where you are
Tonight…
Whoa, whoa, whoa..
Brighter than a shooting star
Shine, no matter
where you are
Tonight….
“There’s Someone in the Chimney”
There’s someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Someone in the chimney,
Listen quick!
(Spoken solo: Ouch!)
Someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Tell me, do you think it’s ol’ St. Nick?
(Spoken solo: Ooooh…my elbow….)
Well, first I heard it on the house, tap tap tapping like a mouse.
Then I heard it in the wall,
Thump thump thumping, so I called:
Hey you! (Spoken solo: Uh-oh)
Hey you! (Spoken solo, clears throat: Squeak, squeak.)
Hey you! (Spoken solo: Just us mice in here.)
Is that you, St. Nick?
(Spoken solo: Mice!)
There’s someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Someone in the chimney, listen quick!
(Spoken solo: Achoo!)
Someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Tell me, do you think it’s ol’ St. Nick?
(Spoken solo: I’m getting too old for this.)
Well, first I heard it on the house, tap tap tapping like a mouse.
Then I heard it in the wall,
Thump thump thumping, so I called:
Hey you! (Spoken solo: Raccoons in here.)
Hey you! (Armadillos?)
Hey you! (Spoken solo: Land shark!)
Is that you, St. Nick?
(Spoken solo: No!)
There’s someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney.
Someone in the chimney,
Listen quick!
(Spoken solo: Shhhh!)
Someone in the chimney, chimney, chimney. Tell me, do you think it’s ol’ St. Nick?
(Spoken solo: Wrong.)
Tell me, do you think it’s ol’ St. Nick?
(Spoken solo: Whatever.)
Tell me, do you think it’s old
(Spoken solo: Oh, come on.)
Saint
(Spoken solo: Gimme a break.)
Nick?
(Spoken solo: I’m trying to work in here!)
Is it ol’ St. Nick?
(Spoken solo, after thud : Owww.)
