Scrapbook Project – the Republic of Texas

Directions:

You will create a scrapbook page for one of the Presidents of the Republic of Texas using your knowledge of Texas History during the Republic. You can choose either Sam Houston (1st and 2nd term together), Mirabeau Lamar, or Anson Jones.

 

What must be on the project:

  • Your name
  • The words “Republic of Texas 1836-1845”
  • Picture of chosen president and 4 facts about his presidency
  • Name of the chosen president
  • A variety of decorations (such as but not limited to: stickers, cut-outs, writing, etc.) that help make the page look interesting and appealing to the eye.
  • Clean and neat page – no misspellings or incorrect facts (-3 point for each misspelled word or incorrect fact)
  • Paper must be 12 x 12 in size
