Because so many students were on a field trip, we started our Gravity stations instead of tackling STEM topics. You need 5 handouts for the stations - get those in class! The files associated with this activity were posted on Aspen but may not be accessible to all students. Instructions for the Gravity Stations are found in the Changing New England page on this website. Links are there and in the links section. Photos of the task cards are in the photo gallery. Let's hope Aspen becomes more reliable soon!

You need to build a glossary in the back of your ISN.  Most of the words that we’ve done so far are review from gr. 6 or earlier, but all need to be defined.  The best glossaries also include drawings and examples.  Here is what we have done so far.  All words need to be completed in the glossary by November 30th at the very latest.  This is an "at home" station.

Choose between two pieces of writing:  1) Mythical story telling of New England’s journey  2) Summary of the trip

BOTH styles require that you include at least 3 pieces of real evidence.   You're writing about a time period 750 million years long.  Clearly your story needs to have some length to it!

If you're reading this, you already got the message!  Unfortunately, ASPEN can be unreliable.  Files, assignments, and important announcements have been disappearing!  I've made many posts that no one is seeing - we need back up!  Please use new.schoolnotes.com to access files, websites, announcements, homework, and any other such thing that I may need to share.
