Good evening parents !
We have many wonderful things happening this Blessed month at our school! We have a couple of dress down days, a Christmas show , a Pageant , Santa visiting our school for our younger students, and also an ugly sweater contest.I will post them as I get the dates. But certainly , we will begin tutoring for my sixth grade on Tuesday, December 6th at lunchtime. We shall have a lesson in Social Studies. I hope all will come ! My students will be allowed to get their lunch if they are hot lunch and come back upstairs immediately. For my students who bring their own lunch, they will remain in the classroom with myself or someone else while my hot lunch students get their lunch. We shall all eat our lunch in class while doing our lesson.
Please remember, no soda or glass bottles. These sessions will be extremely structured and I will not tolerate any inappropriate behavior or disrespect. Any student doing so will be asked to leave and not invited back.
There will also be a science test this week sometime. It will be announced in class two days before and as always, we will go over the contents for the test.

Hello parents !
Good news ! Lunchtime tutoring will begin on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. For students who bring their lunch, they will already have their lunch. For students who eat hot lunch, they will go to the cafeteria to get their lunch and bring it up to the classroom. The students and I will eat lunch as we do our tutoring session. It is going to be very structured and nonsense, disrespect or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. The first sign of any such behavior, that student will be told to leave and not invited back ! The session will run about 30 minutes . It will be on different days every other week and I will try to inform my parents as much in advance as possible. Sometimes problems will arise as they always do and I may have to have a last minute cancellation. This Tuesday, we shall concentrate on Social Studies. All of my sixth grade class is invited to participate. Please take advantage of this free service that Mr. Klice and I are offering.

Hello everyone !
There is a Social studies exam tomorrow which was announced on Friday. The class and I have thoroughly reviewed all parts of the exams except for the two essay questions. This is because I want the students to be able to write a couple of paragraphs without any prompting or review. In the long run , it will be beneficial to my students as they progress in school.The exam will cover pages 82 -93. The exam this time is solely based on the textbook.
Also, we had a religion quiz today. It will probably returned by tomorrow.

Good morning all !
I hope that all of my students and their families had enjoyed their Thanksgiving Day and I hope that you will all take advantage of this well deserved rest.As promised , I have changed the entire setup of our classroom and the seating arrangements. Mr. Klice has approved it and we shall see how it works out. My 6th grade has a religion test on Chapter 9 towards the later part of this week. As always , it will be announced at least two days prior to the exam in order to allow ample time for studying. We shall also review the chapter in class as well before the quiz. Also , there will be a Social Studies test covering pgs. 82 -96 in the "Our World" textbook. It will cover Lessons 1 and 2. There will be vocabulary, multiple choice, maybe a graphic organizer and an essay question as well. It will also be announced in class a couple of days prior to the exam and we shall review for it as well. I will be returning the science exam on " Cells." For any of my students who didn't do well , there will be an extra credit assignment to boost their grade. I hope all is well and I continue to ask for your prayers as you are in mine.

Good morning !
I had a meeting with Mr. Klice on Friday afternoon and he gave me the permission to start the lunchtime tutoring. We will meet twice a week every other week. The reason is because I have lunch duty and other responsibilities during lunch every other week. The tutoring will be available for my students who would like to brush up on a particular topic or have questions about something that they don't understand. The sessions will be extremely structured because of the short amount of time we have together. Students who give me a problem with inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave and not invited back to the sessions. This is something that I'd like to do for my students. I am giving up my lunch period, so I expect 100% cooperation and to have the students on their best behavior to ensure successful outcomes from each session. We shall begin the sessions upon return from the Thanksgiving recess. Please read my schoolnotes page and I will announce the sessions in class as well. There is no charge for the tutoring sessions.
