Good Afternoon !
The class will be having a Religion Exam on Chapters 8-10. It will be made up of True/False, Multiple choice and Written Responses. There will be around 20 questions in total. We have reviewed the content today and I am comfortable that my class is ready.
The class as a whole didn"t fair well at all on the Map skills test. I decided to have the class take another map skills quiz next week. Our students need to be able to interpret maps as part of the 6th grade curriculum.
I will also be giving my class a pizza party for Christmas next Tuesday afternoon. I hope to see you at the Christmas show.

Once again, we had a productive week. We will have a paid dress down day this coming Wednesday. There will be a donation of $ 2.00 for any student who'd like to participate in the Dressdown Day. We are currently doing a lesson in Science on Biomes and Ecosytems and my sixth graders should expect a test sometimes toward the later part of the week. We are also completing chapter 10 in Religion and we shall have an exam on this as well in the middle of the week. We will once again have a busy week this week as well.

PS - Tutoring will continue next week on Tuesday and Thursday
PPS - I have decided that we will also be having a Social Studies test this week on the Ancient Egyptian Empire, Nubia and Kush. I shall inform the class as well and we shall also review for this test as always. It just do happened that all of our units ended at the same time. I will try to be considerate and not schedule two tests on the same day for my classes. Unfortunately , I don't know the test schedules of my colleagues.

Our first tutoring session was a great success. The lunchroom transition went very well. My kids behaved well and we got in a full lesson. Our next session will be on Thursday and we will be doing a science lesson.

Just a update on December's calendar.
December 8th - Immaculate conception Feast Day - School is open ! Mass @ 9:30 am for school
December 7 th - Free Dressdown Day
December 14th - optional Dressdown Day - $ 2 per student
December 2oth - Christmas Show @ 6:45 pm
December 22nd - 1/2 day - Noon Dismissal
There will a small 5 question quiz on the Land of Nubia for my 6th grade Social Studies class either Thursday or Friday. It depends upon what time we get back from Mass.
It will be a map skills quiz in order to sharpen my students map skills. There is really no studying involved. It just entails interpreting the keys and doing measurements that are asked.
