We had some seat changes today in our class today. Seat assignments are changed from time to time because students get too comfortable with their neighbor and so too much talking occurs. We shall know in about a week if the cahanges were good.
Also, we had a "Rap" session " about the bullying and the drama that is better , but still prevalent. If you;'d like, you may discuss it with your student.
Please also remember our brothers and sisters who re hungry. Please pray upon donating some non perishables for Thanksgiving.

Dear parents,
We are desperately in need of boxes of tissues and now with the winter months and sniffles approaching quickly, please consider having your child bring in a box or two of tissues. I often say that I lead by example and so I've brought in two boxes for our class.
There is a Religion quiz tomorrow, Wednesday. It is on Ordinary Time in the Church's Liturgical Calendar.
Also, in keeping with the All Saints Day themes, I have assigned a "Saints" project. It is due this Friday, November 4th. It must be on oaktag or poster board, please.

Dear 6th grade parents,
I want to thank all the parents who so generously gave chocolates and candies for our Trunk or Treat. Also, Thank you to the parent who had donated their time as well !

This week the 6th graders will take a religion quiz on Chapter 7, (Ordinary Time) that is scheduled for Monday. This date may change because of Trunk or Treat. Also my young sixth grade scholars will be receiving a science quiz on vertebrates.(their characteristics) It will be a multiple choice quiz. Rest assured , we will review for the quiz. Last Friday , we took a Social Studies Quiz on Assyria and Babylon. The class as a whole didn't do well despite our 2 days of review. I think I'm going to have to give smaller quizzes with less questions more frequently. They got intimidated by the five page quiz. Fortunately, I have an extra credit assignment for them to do to boost up their grades. It will be handed out on Monday. It MUST be completed and returned by Tuesday in order to receive the extra credit.We had school and class pictures last week as well. Please remember to have your students bring in non-perishable foods for those who are less fortunate as we. I always lead by example, so expect me to be the first on to bring in the food on Monday. I am thankful and appreciative of your support! Please continue to pray for me to help your children be the best that they can. I continue to pray for you and yours as well. God Bless!

Hello parents,
This past week was a busy one! We had a religion quiz in which the classroom average was 88% Great Job!
We also had a science quiz in which the classroom average was 71%
There will be a Social Studies quiz on Monday on Chapter 2 Section 2 " The Sumerians" We reviewed a quite a bit on Friday because we were able to have a
double period of Social Studies. There will also be a Science quiz on vertebrates sometime at the end of the week and a religion quiz on chapter 7 as well.
At the end of every unit, there will be a unit test. I have the students bring home all quizzes and tests for the parents to look at , sign and return. I make sure
that they are signed and then give them back to them. It would be a good idea to obtain a folder and place all the exams and quizzes in them for your records.
I will display their tests on our "Star Wall" and outside our classroom for all to see for whoever chooses to do so. Also, if your student has not yet turned in
their Media Authorization slips, they will not be permitted to take pictures. I had handed them out on Tuesday of last week and still there are a couple of students
who still have not returned them.
Also, I will be offering lunchtime tutoring for all my subjects to my 6th graders twice a week every other week. A letter will follow this week.
