Good evening parents and students.
Our last midterm will be on Monday , January 23rd.
It will be our Science midterm. we have sufficiently prepared for it and I hope my scholars do well. Also, we will be moving full steam ahead with our science projects. I sent home a letter from Mr. Klice explaining what is expected this year from our students.. We will be raising the bar this year.
I will return the exams in a timely fashion as always. I know that you are anxious to see how your child has done.
The 2nd quarter is coming to an end. It has been a very eventful quarter and we've accomplished much work. My class is pretty much on schedule with all of the curriculum requirements.
Last week I had conducted a double period lesson on " Bullying' and I enlisted the help of a counselor who came in and did a "Conflict Resolution " lesson. I supplied some refreshments and snacks to make it a little more fun.
We will finish the lesson Monday. We will create anti- bullying posters and hang them up around our school.
The first week of February will be very exciting. There will be many fun events !
I also sent home sent home some deficiency reports to some of my students and their parents. It is important that you read them, sign them and have your child bring them back as soon as possible, please !
I hope that the midterms will bring up these student's grades. The midterms are worth only 10 % of the final grade of the 2nd Quarter.

Hi Everyone.
The midterms are upon us and we've diligently begun studying for them. The exams will start on Tuesday , January 17th - Friday , January 20th.
I sent home a newsletter for the specific day of each exam.
We will continue to study for them this week as well. Please make sure that our students receive a good nights sleep and have a nutritious breakfast each day.
The exams start at 9:00 a.m. , so please make sure that our students are on time !
The midterms will count for 10% of the grade for the second quarter.
I wish everyone a great weekend and remember, schools are closed on Monday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King.
Please remind our students of the significance of this day !
Also, please remind our students that their Science project topics are due this upcoming Tuesday. More information will follow about the science projects shortly.

Dear parents,
After thinking over the fact that the midterms are very stress provoking for our students, I have decided to postpone the Social Studies quiz on Friday and channel all our time and energy into preparing for the upcoming midterms. My students' well being is very important to me. I'd like to keep the stress level as low as possible.

PS - I will hold a tutoring session for Science tomorrow, Thursday at recess. We will begin our preparation for the Science midterm then.

There will a Social Studies quiz on Friday on The Birth of Hinduism. It will cover pages 124 - 129.
I will also be sending home a Midterm guide for my students for in Social Studies , Science and Religion.
It will tell them what is going to be covered on the midterms.
