In 6th grade social studies classes this week students are wrapping up environmental issues of Canada and moving on to Canada's government.

 

6th Grade: 

**Homework: GMAS prep sheet**

Monday- Work on pollution rap/ Cause-Effect-Solution Tri-fold

Tuesday- 1st period: Work on pollution rap/ Finish tri-fold/ Government review sheet

Wednesday- 6th period: Work on pollution rap/ Finish tri-fold/ Government review sheet

Thursday- Work on pollution rap/ Canada's government foldable

Friday- Canvas Assignment/ USA Test Prep

Tuesday- 1st period: Geography review/ Canada geography foldable

Thursday- Map analysis/ Population distribution questions

Greetings students and parents,

 

In 6th grade social studies classes this week we will focus on economic systems of Cuba, Brazil and Canada. We will also strength our constructed response writing skills by reading a case study and using the RACE strategy to respond to the text.

 

6th Grade: 

**Homework: No homework this week**

Monday- MLK Day; no school

Tuesday- 1st period: Economics 4-square notes and NAFTA simulation 

Wednesday- Economics 4-square notes and NAFTA simulation 

Thursday- Read case study and write first draft of RACE paragraph 

Friday- Edit, revise and rewrite the final copy of the RACE paragraph

 


 

In 7th grade social studies classes this week we will wrap up key historical events in Southern and Eastern Asia leading to the 21st century and then move into our last region of study, AFRICA!

 

7th Grade:

**Homework: Study for history quiz (study guide will be sent home Tuesday)**

Tuesday- 3rd & 5th periods: Japan After WWII notes, video clips, and puzzle timeline
