Bienvenidos a la clase de espanol!
Here is where you will find my weekly updates about what we have going on in class. In addition to giving you a general overview of what we will be accomplishing for the week, I will remind you of dates for upcoming tests/quizzes and my after school availability. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me via e-mail at [email protected]. I look forward to meeting all of the Cadets this week and their parents at Back to School Night on Thursday, September 14th.
This week in class, we will be reviewing classroom expectations and the map of Spanish speaking countries. We will have a map quiz on Friday. Please check out the "Links" tab for helpful map study tools! For the quiz, cadets will need to know all of the countries, their location on the map and their capitals. We will be practicing and reviewing in class on Wednesday and Thursday.
On Wednesday, all cadets will receive e-textbook logins. Please be sure to sign in to make sure you are able to gain access. If you are having trouble or do not have reliable internet access, please let me know ASAP. I have a limited amount of textbooks that can be signed out for use at home.

I hope everyone had a nice long weekend! This week we have our last test of the year on Wednesday (tomorrow)! Today in class, we reviewed all of the key concepts that will be on the test and answered any questions. On Friday (and Monday if needed) we will complete our last graded assignment of the marking period which will be a summative grade writing prompt. This must be done in class, so please be here! These last two summative grades (test/writing prompt) are the last opportunity cadets have to improve their grade. Please see me today or tomorrow during study hall if you need help reviewing or still have questions on any material!

Cadets & Parents,
This week we will have our U2L2 test on Friday! My availability after school this week is tight, so please check with me directly if you plan on staying after school for help. I am still available (as always) during 4th period study hall as well to help any cadet that needs it! Also, don't forget about all of the study tools and resources available to you in the e-textbook.
This is our 2nd to last test of the MP. We will complete 1 more chapter before the end of the year.
There are MANY cadets with MI's listed in HAC for assignments, quizzes and tests. Please remember it is your responsibility to turn in assigned work and make up any missed test/quizzes when you are out.

Today we started Even the Rain and created a new vocab list. Our quiz on these vocab words will be this Thursday.
Tomorrow in class, I will hand out permission slips for our trip to Ole Tapas in Newark on Friday, May 11th. You will miss your 3rd and 5th block class on that day. Please be sure you let your teacher know and make up any assigned work. PERMISSION SLIPS WITH MONEY ARE DUE NO LATER THAN NEXT THURSDAY, MAY 3rd (day before prom).
This week we will finish up Coco. Our summative grade days will be this week on Tuesday (essays) and Wednesday (discussion). Friday we will be staring the vocab for Tambien la lluvia and begining the movie in class on Monday.
As announced we are moving forward with plans for our trip to Ole Tapas on Friday, May 11th. You will miss your mini-block class and 5th block that day. Please be sure to talk to your teachers about what you will be missing ahead of time. You are responsible for any missed work!
