Cadets & Parents,

WOW! How are we already half way through the 1st MP?! October is a busy month! Here are some important dates and Spanish class updates.

This week we will have our U1L1 Vocab Quiz on Thursday (10/3). Our test will likely be next Wednesday (10/9). I will be available after school this week on Wednesday/Friday and next week Monday/Tuesday.

Please be sure to check HAC frequently. We have grades coming in almost everyday. I hope to have test correction and presentation grades in before the end of the week. Many cadets have been out sick lately. Please be sure any assignments that are in HAC as MI get made up ASAP. That being said, we are in need to tissues and wipes - Lately, I've gone through almost a box daily!!! Any donations are greatly appreciated.

Looking ahead, the end of the marking period is Oct. 29th and midterm exams are 10/30 and 10/31.

As always, please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Sra.

Cadets & Parents,

Happy Friday! Looking ahead to next week, we will have our 1st test (summative grade) and presentation (summative grade). Our test is scheduled for Wednesday. I will be available after school on Mon day and Tuesday of next week for any cadets looking for extra help/study tips.

The best way to review for this test is to study the flashcards on the e-textbook and review the activities we have been doing in class. NOTHING on this test should be a surprise! We have done multiple practice activities that mirror test sections/questions.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Sra.

Parents and Cadets,

I hope everyone had a great first week at DMA and I am very much looking forward to meeting the cadets on Monday and the parents at Back to School night on Thursday. While week one focused on geography, this week we will be focusing on useful classroom phrases (with a quiz tentitively scheduled for Thursday - find a Quizlet to help you study under the links tab!), the alphabet and pronunciation. I hope to have the map quizzes graded early in the week and will post scores on HAC as soon as they are finished.

Please be sure to have your materials for class on Monday!

Hope everyone has a great weekend,

Sra.

Cadets & Parents,

Welcome to DMA! I'm so excited to meet everyone and start my 8th year here at DMA. I am currently still on maternity leave until September 9th. Senora Lennon will be covering my classes for the first week of school and I promise that your cadet is in great hands! We have worked together to be sure your/your cadet's first week of Spanish is a productive one. If you have any immediate questions/concerns, she can be reached @ [email protected]

Some things to know about Week 1: The first week will focus on geography and there will be a Map Quiz on Friday, September 6th. On Tuesday, a class syllabus will be distributed. Please be sure to reivew it. It outlines grading policies and course expectations. There is also a digital copy under the files tab. Also on the syllabus you can find what materials you will need for Spanish. There will be a materials check on Monday, Sept. 9th.

Please be sure to check this page often! If you click the notify me link (on the main page)you will receive e-mail notifictions when I post new items. Typically, I'll post weekly/bi-weekly about my after-school availability and any upcoming tests or quizzes.

Looking forward to a great school year!

Sra. White
