Cadets and Parents,

The end of the Marking Period is Tuesday, October 29th! If you have an MI listed for ANYTHING in HAC it must be made up by the end of the day on the 29th. I will be available after-school on Monday 10/28. Cadets are also welcome to come during study hall on Monday or Tuesday to make up work if they have one. If you did not finish your test corrections in class on Friday, they also must be finished this week during study hall/after school Monday.

We do still have two summative grades coming up: a writing prompt that will be done in class on Monday and a "quest" on U1L2.5 which we started on Thursday.

The midterm exam is all multiple choice and covers all material so far (Leccion Preliminar, Unidad 1, Leccion 1 and Unidad 1, Leccion 2). Please be sure to utilize the e-textbook resources to help you review and prepare. The midterm exam is worth 10% of your FINAL grade (not Marking Period 1).

Cadets and Parents,

This blog post is coming early, but we are in the final stretch!

October 29th is the end of the MP and Oct. 30/31st are Midterm Exams. Here is what we have left:

Help After School: Monday 10/21, Wednesday 10/23, Monday 10/28 and potentially 10/29.

If you are struggling or have work to make up - BE THERE! As a reminder, I do not offer extra credit. Please put in the work NOW to make sure you do well on these last two major assessments.

We have a vocab quiz this Friday (formative) and our last test (summative) on Thursday 10/24. We will have one more summative grade in addition to the test sometime between 10/25 -10/29.

Midterm Exams cover EVERYTHING except for the Map. The best way to study is to review the vocab flashcards via the etextbook.

Any questions or concerns, please reach out ASAP.

Cadets & Parents,

I hope everyone had (will have) a fun and enjoyable Spirit Week and Homecoming Dance. We now are down to 11 class days until the end of the marking period. Here is what we have left:

On Friday, October 18th we will have our U1L2 Vocab Quiz (last major formative grade of the MP) and our U1L2 Test will be on Thursday 10/24 (our last test of the marking period). We will have at least one more summative in addition to the last test before the end of the MP. The marking period ends on 10/29.

MANY cadets have MI's in the gradebook due to absences. All make up work must be completed by 10/29.

I will be available for help afterschool on 10/16 (after PSATs - half day), 10/18, 10/21 and 10/23. As a reminder, the e-textbook also offers great resources to help you practice/study.

As always, please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Sra.

Cadets & Parents,

Happy Spirit Week! I hope everyone had a good weekend.

This week we have our U1L1 Chapter test on TUESDAY 10/8. I will be available Monday 10/7 after school for tutoring this week. Please continue to utilize the e-texbook resources to help you study! Following the test we will begin U1L2 and will likely have a vocab quiz next week (Thurs or Fri 10/17 or 18).

Last but not least, I'm continuing my campaign for tissues. I have 75 cadets and ONE has brought in tissues for the class. WE ARE OUT (and I donated my personal max). Thanks for your help in my quest to keep cadets in class vs. sending them out to the head for TP every 5 minutes and missing valuable instructional time:)

As always, any questions or concerns please reach out. The end of the MP is quickly approaching on Oct 29th!
