Cadets and Parents,

Welcome to the 4th MP!! Can you believe it?! I am still in the process of finalizing MP3 grades. Report cards will be distributed Thursday afternoon.

This week we will begin U2L1 which focuses on school life. Although we have a fresh start in the grade book, the concepts and vocab from last MP are as relevant as ever. If you struggled last MP, please seek out some help after school to get caught up and back on track. Major dates for this chapter are tentatively scheduled: Our vocabulary quiz will be Friday, 3/29 and the test will likely be the following Friday, April 5th (but I will confirm that date early next week).

I will be available after school for help on Thursday & Friday of this week (3/28 and 3/29) and Monday and Wednesday of the following week (4/1 and 4/3).

As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns.

Sra.

Cadets & Parents - It's crunch time!

We are down to 8 class days before the end of the marking period and midterms. We have a lot of ground still to cover in a short time span due to snow days. Last Friday, we took our U1L1 test and started U1L2. We will have a vocabulary quiz on Tuesday. Our test for this chapter will be next Monday, March 18th.

I will be available for tutoring this week on Monday, Thursday and Friday. Please also be sure you are utilizing the e-textbook at home whenever possible to reinforce what we do. There are practice activities for all grammar concepts and vocabulary words as well as vocab flash cards.

HAC is up to date (with the exception of Block 5s test from last Friday which should go in by Monday evening). Please be sure to check HAC frequently. There are many cadets with MI's in the gradebook. Any MI, not made up by 3/20 will turn into a permanent 0.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Cadets & Parents,

I hope everyone enjoyed their surprise snow day Friday and long (potentially even longer) weekend. I just wanted to confirm that our vocabulary quiz scheduled for last Friday, will be whatever our first day back to school is (Monday or potentially Tuesday if we get some more snow tonight). Please use your extra time wisely and don't forget about the e-textbook practice activities and flashcards if you need some help studying. Depending on tomorrow and how quickly we move this week, our U1L1 test could potentially be Friday. I will update everyone again on Wednesday to confirm the date, but we have a lot of ground to cover before midterm exams thanks to the crazy month of February and we will be moving quickly over the next few weeks.

This week for tutoring, I will be available every day if you are interested in staying for extra help or have work to make up.

As always, please reach out with any questions and concerns. HAC is up to date, so please continue to monitor your progress!

Cadets and Parents,

As a reminder, due to the assembly on Friday, BLOCK 1 will take their test tomorrow (Monday, 2/25). Block 5 will be finishing up their presentations tomorrow in class that were started on Friday after the test and we will also start our vocab sheet for Chapter U1L1.

Both classes will take the U1L1 vocab quiz on Friday, March 1st. Don't forget to utilize the flashcards and practice quizzes/activities at home to help you study/prepare. (See the files tab for directions...) All vocabulary quizzes will be multiple choice. Question format is exactly like the practice quizzes online (a sentence in Spanish with a word missing with 4 options to choose from).

I will be available after school for help this week on Tuesday and Thursday.

As always, any questions or concerns please let me know!

Have a great week!

Sra.

Cadets & Parents,

Hope everyone is enjoying their Monday off for President's day! As if February hasn't been choppy enough, it looks like snow is in the forecast for Wednesday. Please see below for possible dates for our first test depending on Wednesday's Weather...

If everything goes according to plan with no delay/early dismissals/snow days this week....our test will be on Thursday, 2/21.

If the weather creates an issue and we are off Wednesday...

Block 5 your test will be Friday, 2/22.

Block 1 your test will be Monday, 2/25 (due to the assembly on Friday 1st Block).

If the weather creates an issue for more than one day... ALL TESTS WILL BE MONDAY 2/25.

Please be aware that if the tests get pushed until Monday, they will NOT be included in the interim report grade (unless our date is pushed back again by ADMIN). Please continue to check HAC for the most up date grades to monitor your (or your cadets) progress.

If you find yourself with some extra study time, don't forget to utilize the practice activities and flashcards available on the e-textbook. I will be reviewing this in class on Monday - there is also a document under the files tab on how to access the tools.

As far as tutoring for this week, I plan on being available after school on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of this week.

Thank you for your flexibility! I will do my best to update this page if needed, but please feel free to reach out via e-mail with questions.

Sra.
