Hope you all enjoyed the long weekend. We are in the home stretch here for MP1 with only 13 class days left!! Today we took our U1L1 test and began the vocabulary sheet for U1L2. We will likely have a quiz on Thursday 10/18 on the U1L2 vocab words. Our test will be towards the end of next week.
I am available for help after school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.

This week is a choppy one! With PSAT's Wednesday and off on Friday, our test for this unit will be on Monday, October 15th. Please don't forget to review over the long weekend. The resources on the e-textbook are a great study tool. For any cadet needing extra help I will be here on Thursday to review for the test.
If you have an MI for test corrections, please see me ASAP. Some of them were incomplete, incorrect or not formatted correctly. You can fix and resubmit for full credit but it needs to be done ASAP. You can come any day during 4th period (study hall for most) or after school Thursday.
Believe it or not, after this week we only have 13 class days left this marking period. We will only have 1 other test after the test scheduled for 10/15 so please keep working hard to improve your grade!

Happy Half Way Point of MP1!
Parents & Cadets,
Interim reports will be going home today. Please continue to check HAC for the most up to date grade information on a WEEKLY basis. If you are not happy with your current progress, please plan to stay after school for tutoring and/or use the e-textbook resources at home to help you study. This week I will be available on Wednesday and Thursday after school.
Today we started Unidad 1, Leccion 1. We will have a vocabulary quiz on the words from this chapter on Thursday. The vocabulary quiz will be 40 questions/40 points and is structured similarly to the practice quiz found on the e-textbook.
Parent Conferences are Thursday evening. If you are concerned about your cadets progress, please contact me via e-mail to schedule a time to meet. Conferences are reserved for struggling cadets (F/D). You should also be getting an invite today from me brought home by your cadet.

Happy Friday!
First, MUCHAS GRACIAS to Cadets Ahmed, Ocampo, Trivett, Osborne, Gutzmirtl and Ryan for donating supplies to our classrooms. It's never too late to make a donation. We are always in need of tissues, wipes and spare pencils. Thank you again to those cadets and their families. It is greatly appreciated!
Next week we have our first test!! Our test will be on Wednesday, 9/26. As a reminder, we are one week away from the half way point of the marking period (already?!) and interim reports will be sent home will all Cadets on Monday, Oct 1st. I am planning on being available after school on Monday and Tuesday of next week for any cadet who would like to stay after for tutoring prior to our 1st test.
Looking for ways to prepare for the test at home? Be sure to utilize the e-textbook flashcards and @hometutor practice activities (see instructions on the back of syllabus on how to access these... or the file located under the files tab).

Please be sure you are checking HAC on a semi-regular basis at this point. We now have two quiz grades in the books along with a few class work/homework assignments. Please be sure if you need some extra help to ask for it. Remember, anything listed at MI needs to be made up ASAP. This week I will be available Wednesday and Thursday after school for any cadets needing to make things up or for tutoring. If you are looking for ways to practice at home, please be sure to utilize the e-textbook.
This week we officially started Leccion Preliminar and created our first vocab sheet. We will work through each of the categories this week and will likely have a test sometime next week (likely Tuesday or Wednesday).
