Greetings Patriot Parent(s)/Guardian(s):
The Patriot Family will be celebrating the 5th Annual Pop-Tastic Celebration on Friday, October 23, 12:30 p.m - 2:00 p.m. in the bus loading area of the school. At this school-wide event, the Patriot Family will celebrate October as being National Popcorn Popping Month. During this special time, we will have popcorn from the Carmike Cinemas, drinks, and entertainment.
Parent(s) and Guardian(s) we need your help with providing our students, staff, and guest with a drink for this event. We are sending out a plea asking for a box of Capri Suns or Kool-Aid Jammers for this event. Every student that brings in a box of Capri Suns or Kool-Aid Jammers will receive Pride Bucks or a special incentive from their teacher of choice. The students should take their donation to his/her teacher that will honor their donation request. The donation campaign will be from Monday, October 12 – Monday, October 19, 2015.
The PPLC would like to thank you for helping us make this event successful and fun for our Patriot Family.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Mrs. Cynthia Baker- Raleigh at [email protected].
Our 6th and 7th graders will be working on their writing skills. Constructed responses are important for our students to understand and be able to write well while answering the question they have been given. We will start at the beginning to show how to break down the writing activity and properly answer using the RACE strategy, listing key details, and providing cited evidence to support ideas.
Students are to continue to work on their Quarterly Book Project. Due Date is October 30th. Students will also be given homework at various times and is listed on the board each day.
