This week our students will continue on their journey learning how to summarize the context they have read and how to determine literary elements of a story when asked.

This week our students will receive orientation for the media center and Achieve 3000 testing.

Students will bring home a study guide on Wednesday and Friday we will have an assessment over the information on the guide. Students have been reviewing the information in class.

Parents

Welcome to the world of the Best Middle School in the World. I am excited to be working with our students this year. This week we will review literary devices, what they are, how they are used, and why they are used as well as begin reading our novel, Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.

I am in the process of working on Canvas for our ELA homework.

Lets have a great week.

Parents and students:

We are almost there. Last week of school and I know you are ready for summer break. Just remember we still have academics to work on this week before we close out. It is important that all students remember everything we accomplish this week will assist in your growth for the next school year.

The 7th graders are continuing with our reading of Hiroshima by John Hersey.

The 6th graders are finishing up our reading of Holes by Louis Sachar.

Please be at school on time each and every day. Lets make this a great closeout for the year with our high expectations it is time to remember academics, manners, and most of all the love of learning.
