This week has been a quick one. The 7th graders have continued their reading of Hunger Games and should be reading through chapter 8 by Monday. We completed tasks geared towards our learning goals. A writing assignment which has been in progress over the least two weeks will be coming to a close in the next few weeks. Our Hunger Games series is moving right along. Students should be reading at home as well as in the classroom.

The 6th graders are working hard on their pronouns, reading of 5000 Miles to Freedom, and working on vocabulary building task cards.

Our reading project for all classes in ELA will be attached on the files page soon.

Parents and students, I wanted to say thank you to those who were able to come out tonight to the open house. We had a great turn out. If you were unable to join us there is plenty of time to sign up for the PTA. It was great meeting you all.

Parents this is just a reminder, this week is a short week. Students should remember we will be working on our reading and writing skills each week. Each day students will be having a grammar review. The 7th graders should be reading Hunger Games through chapter 7 by the end of the week. the 6th graders will continue to read in class 5000 Miles to Freedom through chapter 4 by the end of the week as well as working on their pronouns.
