Parents,

This week we will be working on our Edgar Allan Foe CISM lessons from "The Fall of the House of Usher", imagery, theme, and identifying figurative language.

Students must complete their weekly homework assignments. All are graded and returned to the students promptly. The articles are assisting our students with their ability to cite textual evidence and answer questions in detail.

Good morning parents and students,

This week we will be working towards our writing goals. We will starting with identifying terms we can substitute in order to expand our knowledge and writing skills. We are working on the RACE strategy as well as extended responses. Our novel, While the World Watched will be concluded by the end of January so we can begin our new novel, Monster written by Walter Dean Myers.

Students are ready to explore the world of writing. Homework sheets will begin this week. They are assignments that each student will need to complete. Our students will be working on their vocabulary, implementing the terms into their writing, and demonstrating their knowledge of the standards.

Assessments also begin this week as a review for our standards, this will ensure our students are engaging in their own learning and understanding of concepts.

ELA tutorials will begin this coming Friday January 20, 2017, this is the time students will have to work on the standards as well as their Achieve 3000 articles. Please remember Saturday tutorials are also beginning.
