Good afternoon parents and students, this week the 7th graders are studying their Hunger Games novel, working on narrative writing in "hamburger" style as well as grammar.

The 6th graders are continuing to work with their pronouns, reading 5,000 Miles to Freedom, and working on a second "Wanted Poster".

I am very proud to say this school year is starting off wonderfully. If you need a PDF file please send a flash drive with your child and I will provide the readings they may need.

thanks so much---have a wonderful week.

I am very excited for this week. Our students are looking forward to reading their novels.

As for projects, we will begin working on them in class once we have completed our testing this week.

Hello families,
Just a quick note, 6th graders will begin their introduction to their novel, 5,000 Miles to Freedom. Students will start their "Wanted Poster" project which is due Friday August 28, 2015. Only use a half size poster board and students are to complete their projects on their own. We will be working on partner activities in class.

Make sure to read your nightly chapters of Hunger Games. Click on the files tab to locate the novel. Students, make sure you are giving everything to your parents to look over and sign when needed.

Parents, I will be making phone calls this week. I will be looking forward to speaking with each and everyone of you.

Super Mario Readers are ready to run through the worlds of learning in Mrs. Robinson ELA classroom. Characters of Super Mario represent each class and the students are ready for the challenge. Standards are posted and its time to begin. The race begins with the whole class mastering the standards. As each group moves forward through the Super Mario World One, students will be required to conquer their reading goals with a class assigned text as well as two additional titles. The more the students read the more they learn, the more they learn, the more Super Mario characters advance beyond mastering standards, the students are more eager to embrace Super Mario World Two.
