Today we read My Ww Book and did our Letter Ww practice paper. We also did a Weekly Reader together. We played with a "messy table" filled with water, funnels, and various measuring cups.  We did a "tornado" in a bottle experiment.   We also did a number/sticker activity.

We had gym glass and Miss Maddie played games with us using hoops, beanbags, and listening skills.

We enjoyed playing on the playground today.

Have a great night!

This week our theme is Weather and the Letter Ww.

Today we listened to a felt-board story called It Looked Like Spilt Milk.  We also read a book called Little Cloud.  We made beautiful cloud art using white paint, shaving cream, glue and a cottonball.  We also practiced writing some weather words and coloring in the pictures. We did an experiment where we trapped air inside a glass in a bowl full of water.  We predicted what would happen when we let some air out.  The children took turns letting air out of the glass and making bubbles.

We enjoyed outside recess today in the fresh air!

Today we celebrated Dr. Seuss's Birthday by reading There's a Wocket in my Pocet. We made a Dr. Seuss hat using the letters in our name. At tables today we had water play and gave plastic lambs a bath in soapy water. We also had easel paint, playdough, and Lion coloring with markers.
We had Chapel today. Pastor Linda told us the story about the Prodigal Son. The message for today was that God loves us know matter what!
We went outside for a little while just to get some fresh air, but it was pretty windy and cold!
We read a Nursery Rhyme called Mary had a Little Lamb, and also a story about a Naughty Newt.
Have a good day!

We had Music class today. Miss Liz gave us each a turn playing the xylophone. We also did some movement activities.
We read a book called Peppa's trip to the Dentist. At Center time, the children took turns brushing the egg that was soaking in soda. By using toothpaste and a toothbrush, we were able to get the egg white again!
The children were asked to name some foods they could eat that were healthy for their teeth. They drew a picture of their answer and then wrote the word.
The children were also given writing journals today. They will use these journals to practice writing words, numbers, or draw pictures.  The journals will stay in the classroom.  They will have access to their journals during Center time. The children will be encouraged to practice writing in their journals.

Enjoy the Weekend!

Miss Patty
