At tables we decorated our bags for the egg hunt on Wednesday. In the sensory bin we had plastic eggs filled with letters and different shapes. We also had a number matching game. Some of us did some writing in our Journals.
Happy Birthday to Rhys! We had a special morning snack (cupcakes) to celebrate Rhy's birthday - thanks for the delicious treat!

I wanted to let everyone know that the Easter egg hunt has been changed to Wednesday. The weather is supposed to be nicer that day.

We had Music Class today with Miss Liz. We had fun playing different beats on musical sticks. She also sang a different rainbow song with us.
The children did a great job with their show and tells! They were good listeners as each child took their turn showing and telling.
We did a Letter X paper and practiced writing the word X-Ray.
On the tables we had a number dot game and a number matching game. We also dug for gold coins in the sand.
The first day of Spring is on Sunday! We will be discussing Spring and Easter next week. We do not have school Friday (Good Friday) and we are off the following week for Easter Break.

Today the children were surprised to come in and find a note from Lucky the Leprechaun. He told us he was sorry he left messes in our classroom this week. He left us gold chocolate coins hidden for us to find. The children had fun searching for the coins.
We listened to a book on CD about a bunny who lost his shamrocks. At tables today we made Shamrock Shakes. We took turns scooping out vanilla ice cream and adding milk into a blender. We added some green food coloring and watched the blender mix it up. We enjoyed a yummy morning snack. We also colored a banner and told why we thought today was our lucky day.
We had Spanish class today. Miss Vivi went over colors with us and all the vowel sounds A,E,I,O and U.
We had outdoor recess today.
Tommorrow (Friday) is Show and Tell. Your child may bring in something from home to show, a toy or other item that is special to them. I will encourage them to talk about what they bought and ask them some questions about their show and tell.
That naughty Leprechaun was in our classroom making a mess again! He left us a note this time telling us he had fun playing in our classroom! We wrote him a note asking him to please clean up after himself!
We had Chapel today and Pastor Linda and Mr. Mike told us the story of Palm Sunday and how the people were happy to see Jesus as he came into Jerusalem. We were each given a Palm, and we processed around the school singing the Hosanna song.
We did a fun fruit-loop rainbow activity, dug for gold coins in the sand, colored a picture of St. Patrick and painted shamrocks for our table jobs today. All the centers were also open!
