We had Music class today. We played with rhythm sticks to different beats of music: fast, slow, loud and soft.
Today at the tables we pretended we were zoo keepers and gave our zoo animals a bath. We also made jungle scenes using plastic animals and clay. We had indoor recess today. We took turns doing tricks on mats and played with balls and hula hoops.
Happy Birthday to Aarushi! Thank you for the delicious lunch treat today!

Today we read a book called Feeding Time, and then we had a jungle taste test. We had bananas, sunflower seeds, lettuce, berries, and gummy worms. The children had to name an animal that would eat the food they were tasting. We also did jungle animal dot art and played with plastic jungle animals in the sand.
We had Spanish class today and Miss Vivi went over with us how to say body parts in Spanish.
We had a special treat today, cupcakes for Abigail's birthday! Happy Birthday Abigail!!! and thank you for the delicious treat!!
Tommorrow Aarushi's family is providing pizza for lunch. You do not need to send in lunch for your child unless you want them to have something other than pizza.

We had a great start to our day enjoying a nice breakfast with our moms, aunts, and grammoms!
We played a game today where one child would describe an animal who lives in the jungle, and the other children would try and guess which animal it was. On the tables we played with playdough and plastic jungle animals and plastic plants to create a jungle scene. We also painted with colors in the jungle and did a writing activity.
We had chapel today and Mr. Mike practiced songs with us for the World's Showcase which will be next Friday night. Pastor Linda talked to us about "surprises" and told us a bible story about men who were surprised. She asked us if we liked to be surprised, and most of us said yes!
Miss Beth and I are enjoying the special treats this week! Thank you for the fruit that was sent in. We enjoyed a wonderful fruit salad with our lunch!

Today we read a book called Elmer. Elmer is a patchwork elephant who lives in the jungle with all his gray elephant friends. At tables today the children used glue stick and tissue paper pieces to make their own patchwork elephant.
We had gym class today. Miss Maddy had the children use various body parts for different activities. They also pretended to be different types of animals during movement activities.
Thank you for all the candy that was sent in today! Miss Beth and I enjoyed the sweet treat!!
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at 8:15 for a nice breakfast honoring mothers!
